Housing Management Coordinator
Pay: £14.06 per hour (£27,500 per annum, pro rata) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan
Permanent, part time (33.5 hpw), Monday to Friday, 6.7hrs per day
Derby and Birmingham area

This is a great opportunity to join our team. As our Housing and Property Lead, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!
What you’ll do
- Making sure that our customers' properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
- Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
- Where there is a need, you’ll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.
- Getting rooms ready for the next customers who need our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timescales.
- Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

You have
- Experience in managing a housing caseload and handle landlord and housing management duties.
- Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
- Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues.
- The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
- Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.

The practical bits
- Flexible working hours (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you).
- You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
- You will be managing properties throughout Derby City / Derbyshire and also properties in Sutton Coldfield and Halesowen in Birmingham.
