Housing Management Worker

Housing Management Worker

Location: Based at our service in Leeds

Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday

Salary: £13.45 per hour (£26,300 per annum) plus great benefits including a Health Cash Plan

We can’t offer a COS for this role.

This is a great opportunity to join our team. You’ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation.

What You’ll Do

  • Support customers aged over 55
  • Engage and involve customers in their tenancies
  • Assist with housing benefit claims, ensuring these are applied to rent accounts
  • Turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timelines, which may involve practical tasks like cleaning or minor repairs
  • Carry out and record routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities, ensuring we maintain regulatory standards

Requirements

You should have:

  • A background in property management (not a deal-breaker, but helpful)
    • Previously worked in an environment with compliance and health & safety checks preferred
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service, combined with a genuine desire to help vulnerable customers
  • Strong initiative and the ability to positively influence people from diverse backgrounds
  • Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external partners
  • Enthusiasm for property and a motivating factor of knowing that your properties are at their best for our customers

Practical Details

  • Flexible working hours (or flexible work patterns can be agreed)
  • Location: Based in Leeds
  • Technical skills: Ability to use technology for:
    • Creating and updating support plans
    • Managing housing benefit claims
    • Filing tenancy agreements
