Housing Manager

Location: Northwest with regional travel when required

Working Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £38,960 – £56,010 FTE (£19,480 - £28,005 pro rata)


Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

As the Housing Manager, you will lead a team delivering high-quality housing management and tenancy sustainment services across your region. You’ll provide day-to-day support, guidance, and oversight to ensure properties are safe, compliant, and well-managed, while helping residents maintain their tenancies. You’ll play a key role in driving performance, meeting KPIs and Tenant Satisfaction Measures, and working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to continuously improve services.

Key Duties

  • Lead and support a team delivering housing and tenancy services
  • Manage property performance, including voids, arrears, and compliance
  • Provide guidance on safeguarding, risk, and anti-social behaviour
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and ensure accurate reporting
  • Support audits, inspections, and service improvements
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Promote resident engagement and involvement

About You

You’ll be an experienced housing professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering quality services. You will have:

  • Experience in housing management, ideally with vulnerable or complex needs
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management, arrears, and housing processes
  • The ability to manage priorities and make sound decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • A relevant housing or management qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
