Role Description
The Housing Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the West Midlands, responsible for managing tenancies and delivering high-quality housing services to residents. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Overseeing tenancy agreements
- Responding to tenant queries
- Ensuring compliance with housing policies and regulations
- Addressing anti-social behaviour
- Supporting residents to sustain their tenancies
- Working closely with partner agencies to resolve housing-related issues
- Carrying out estate inspections
- Monitoring property conditions
- Helping coordinate repairs and maintenance to ensure safe and well-managed homes
- Maintaining accurate records
- Preparing reports
- Contributing to initiatives aimed at increasing housing quality, preventing homelessness, and improving community wellbeing

Qualifications
- Strong Housing Management and Tenancy Management skills, with experience in delivering consistent, fair, and compliant housing services
- Expertise in managing Anti-social Behaviour, including investigation, case management, and working with partner agencies to achieve resolutions
- Experience in Supportive Housing, including providing guidance to residents, supporting tenancy sustainment, and signposting to relevant support services
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear written reporting, and confident engagement with residents, colleagues, and external partners
- Relevant qualifications in housing, social work, or a related field (e.g., CIH qualification or equivalent experience) would be beneficial
- Knowledge of UK housing legislation, safeguarding principles, and local authority procedures would be advantageous
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines, are desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive service delivery is important
