Job Title: Housing Officer (Temporary)

Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom

EVH Grade 7

About The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established housing association in Glasgow, seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the community by delivering high-quality housing management services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of housing services, including tenancy management, rent arrears, allocations, voids, estate management, and anti-social behaviour.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns, conducting home visits, and offering tailored housing advice.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, local authorities, and partner agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with tenancy agreements and coordinate access for statutory inspections.
  • Identify and report property repairs and environmental issues while supporting community initiatives.
  • Manage estate budgets and contribute to achieving performance targets.
  • Handle complaints and advocate on behalf of tenants.
  • Support community engagement and resident groups, including attending evening meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with housing legislation and organisational policies.
  • Work flexibly and contribute to continuous service improvement.

  • Proven experience in housing management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or qualification in housing, social work, or a related field.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in housing management.
