Housing Options Officer – 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Starting salary: £34,434 (pro rata for part-time colleagues)

About the Role
Internal Transfers: Unless moving within the same profession and skill level, internal candidates start at the bottom of the band.
If you’re passionate about supporting people to resolve their housing challenges, this dynamic and innovative role could be for you:
- Deliver housing advice and support to residents facing housing difficulties
- Prevent homelessness and provide solutions for complex and challenging situations
- Work both in-office, on-site, and from home with face-to-face client interactions
Key Responsibilities
To excel in this role, you’ll need the ability to:
- Communicate effectively – Understand and address customer needs clearly
- Adopt a holistic approach – Solve customer problems with a broad perspective
- Manage workloads efficiently – Prioritise competing demands while maintaining quality care
- Collaborate across teams – Work with residents, colleagues, and external services to achieve lasting solutions
- Proactively prevent homelessness – Support at-risk individuals away from crisis conditions

Ideal Applicants
You’ll be suited to this role if you:
✔ Have experience working in advice, problem-solving, or customer-facing roles ✔ Are empathetic and patient – this role involves supporting vulnerable individuals ✔ Can demonstrate problem-solving skills and commit to ongoing training and development

Working Conditions & Preferences
- Hybrid/flexible working available (preference)
- Full driving licence and vehicle access recommended
- Must evidence right-to-work status and commit to the contract duration
- Must have fluent English (due to NHSSC and Immigration Act requirements)
