The Role: Housing Options Officer

We are seeking a motivated, resident-focused Housing Options Officer to join Coventry City Council’s Housing & Homelessness Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert housing advice to residents in crisis
  • Assess homelessness applications and deliver legally compliant decisions
  • Develop and implement Personalised Housing Plans to prevent homelessness
  • Collaborate with landlords, partners, and support agencies to secure stable housing
  • Maintain accurate case records while meeting statutory deadlines
  • Offer high-quality, empathetic support with a solution-focused approach

Note: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
