Housing & Resident Engagement Manager

Housing & Resident Engagement Manager – Permanent (Full-Time)

About the Role

ExtraCare Charitable Trust is seeking a Housing & Resident Engagement Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality housing management services across its integrated retirement communities. The role focuses on improving resident satisfaction, ensuring tenancy sustainability, and maximising income for the Trust, while fostering a culture of meaningful resident engagement.

This position is ideal for a passionate, strategic professional with a strong commitment to older adults, social inclusion, and excellent service delivery. You will lead Enhanced Housing Management (EHM) and Housing-Related Support (HRS) Services (or alternatives), oversee contract negotiations, and align housing services with ExtraCare’s vision of creating better lives for older people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership in Housing Management:

    • Provide strategic direction for housing services to ensure resident-focused, high-quality, and cost-effective services.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts with compliance at the forefront.
    • Support Regional and Location Managers in delivering excellent housing solutions.
  • Resident Engagement & Advocacy:

    • Lead and coordinate Resident Forums and Resident Associations, ensuring inclusive, meaningful participation in community decision-making.
    • Encourage a culture of listening to resident voices and embedding these views into service improvements.
    • Serve as custodian of the Customer Involvement Policy, overseeing complaints handling to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
