Housing Support Worker
Annual salary of £29,504 (FTE) Permanent role Full-time (37 hours), part-time and flexible working patterns available Based in Oldham

The Role
The purpose of the Housing Support Worker role is to provide a support service to our service users. You will:
- Carry out regular support sessions with service users to ensure their individual needs are being met.
- Work to empower service users, actively engaging them in the community and helping them:
- Develop resilience
- Achieve independence
- Become an asset to the community
- Ensure efficient record-keeping, including:
- Case notes
- Support plans
- Financial and administrative records
- Guarantee service users access their full support entitlements, including:
- Submitting housing benefit claims on time
- Actively managing arrears and bad debts
The Right Fit
You should have:
- Experience working in a support role including the ability to:
- Assess needs
- Plan and deliver effective, stimulating, and dynamic support
- Experience providing housing support (1 year is desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including:
- Record-keeping
- Report writing
- IT and social media platform engagement
- Organisational skills, including managing workloads and meeting deadlines
- The ability to manage risk appropriately and ensure procedures are followed
- Skills to:
- Develop service user, volunteer, and community involvement
- Facilitate group activities in an empowering way
