Housing Support Worker

Location: Enniskillen, Northern Ireland Contract: Fixed Term (12 months covering maternity leave) Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £25,949 per annum


About the Role

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

** gratuitous **working with vulnerable children in the UK, you will be part of a dedicated team at Rossorry Grove Supported Accommodation, purpose-built accommodation for young people aged 16–21 who have experienced homelessness or are at risk.

You’ll build professional relationships, provide emotional, social, and practical support, and foster independence alongside a committed team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting young people to achieve their potential
  • Establishing community connections to assist both young people and families
  • Collaborating with Residential Workers on youth care and support
  • Contributing to care plans, support plans, and risk assessments
  • Conducting one-to-one sessions covering:
    • Cooking & budgeting
    • Job searches and appointment attendance
  • Ensuring communication and participation while championing their autonomy

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

✅ Diploma Level 3 in Youth Work or a Social Care-related qualification (experience may substitute if applicable) ✅ Experience working with vulnerable young people (aged 16–21) in a formal setting ✅ Registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)—or willingness to register
