Adur & Worthing Councils are looking for a Housing Systems and Data Officer to support the ongoing development, administration and improvement of our housing systems and data. This role is central to driving continuous improvement in system functionality, data quality and reporting capability, enabling the Housing division to deliver efficient services and make informed strategic decisions.

In this role, you will work closely with the housing systems team to oversee the full lifecycle of housing systems management, including:

  • System administration
  • System upgrades
  • Data reporting
  • Resolving system issues
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the council to align system functionality with policies and procedures

This role also includes responsibility for internal and external customer support and providing training to ensure that staff are confident in using the relevant systems.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good IT skills and experience using a range of business applications, including Microsoft Office and database or business systems.
  • Experience supporting, administering or developing business systems, ideally within a housing or public sector environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to extract, manipulate and interpret data to produce meaningful management information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Experience of writing procedures, guidance or user documentation and delivering user support or training.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer services and continuous improvement.
