Second Step

Second Step is a leading mental health charity in the South West offering housing, support and hope to thousands of people with mental health and other support needs. Our goal is to inspire hope and deliver change for everybody and every community we work with.

Are you a motivated, organised and proactive individual looking for an exciting opportunity to be able to make a real difference to the lives of tenants with complex needs?

We have an exciting new role within our High Support Accommodation and Community Rehabilitation services and are looking for a candidate who can ensure that we are able to provide a high quality housing and property management service to Second Step tenants.

We aim to be service user centred and to give our tenants (who have a range of complex needs) the most positive and supportive tenancy experience possible.

This is a challenging role with varied work streams and many interchanging deadlines, so we are looking for someone with good organisational skills and attention to detail. Equally we are looking for someone who displays initiative, is self-motivated and is a team player.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
