HPC Cluster Architect
HPC Cluster Architect | AI & GPU Infrastructure | Freelance Remote
I'm working with one of the fastest-growing organisations in AI infrastructure, looking to hire an experienced HPC Cluster Architect to lead the design and delivery of large-scale GPU clusters powering next-generation AI workloads.
This is a senior, hands-on architecture role where you’ll own projects from initial solution design through to production deployment, working across compute, networking, storage and data centre infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Designing large-scale GPU/HPC cluster architectures from concept through deployment.
- Creating high-performance network fabrics using technologies such as InfiniBand, RDMA, and NVLink.
- Working closely with engineering teams and hardware vendors to deliver technically robust, scalable solutions.
- Providing technical leadership throughout deployment, testing, and optimisation.
- Helping shape future reference architectures and engineering best practices.

Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering GPU-based HPC or AI clusters.
- Strong knowledge of NVIDIA GPU platforms and high-performance networking.
- A background within an OEM, hyperscaler, cloud provider, or enterprise HPC environment.
- Experience delivering 1,000+ cluster projects; bonus points for Liquid Cooling project experience.
