Vocalink Ltd technologies power the UK’s real-time payments, settlement and direct debit systems, as well as the UK’s network of ATMs. We process over 90 percent of salaries, more than 70 percent of household bills and almost all state benefits! Vocalink is a Mastercard company.

Overview
Technical Infrastructure Support role maintaining and enhancing the company’s estate of HPE Nonstop servers, Thales payShield HSMs and associated systems/applications across two core services within Vocalink. All relevant training will be provided as your development journey and experience extends.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the development, building, and maintenance of assigned technologies and associated software products across Development, Test and Production environments
- Resolves standard problems as they arise and provides basic technical assistance to other users/teams/customers
- Performs user account administration and regularly implements security improvements in-line with corporate standards
- Adopting and applying Incident, Change, and Problem Management lifecycles in line with ITIL best practice
- Supports our Audit & Regulatory Compliance obligations and Risk Management frameworks by escalating potential concerns and assisting with any mitigations.
- Performs implementation and troubleshooting activities, providing updates as needed.
- Supports testing by performing technical failure/recovery scenarios and analysing system capacity and performance
- Supports the teams Production out-of-hours 24/7 On-Call Rota, once technically proficient.
- Develop effective relationships with key suppliers to facilitate the process of raising defects and obtaining 3rd level support.
- Ensure supporting documentation and artefacts are developed and maintained.
- Learns, adopts and applies Vocalinks Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), participating in planning sessions and tracking/reporting workload progress using enterprise tooling.

You will also:
- Collaborate with stakeholders in agile teams to devise the appropriate implementation approach or solution.
- Have autonomy to drive innovation, look for improvements and seek opportunities to leverage new technologies and tools for greater efficiency, including leveraging AI tools in accordance with Vocalink standards.
- Be fully supported on your journey by a team of Senior Engineers and other colleagues
You will have:
- Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills.
- A passion for Information Technology, which may include prior knowledge/experience of other computer applications, infrastructure, or programming/scripting languages.
- The ability to solve complex problems that are technical in nature.
- A desire for continuous personal development through learning and experience, with a progressive attitude and looking to make a positive difference for yourself, the organisation, and our customers.
- An ethos for working in a team and supporting each other, whilst being proactive in working independently.
- Demonstrable flexibility and the ability to embrace changes in process and the adoption of new technology.
