HR Administration Assistant - Central Team

Location: WAT North Staffs & Stoke Central Office, Ostend Place, Newcastle under Lyme ST5 2QY

Salary: Grade 2 (£21,758 starting salary)

Working: 37 hours per week, term time - fixed term contract 1st September 2026 - Easter 2027

Reporting to: People Partner - North Staffs & Stoke

Join Our Central Team

We are seeking an organised, professional, and proactive HR Administration Assistant to join our North Staffs & Stoke Central Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys providing excellent support to colleagues, visitors, and stakeholders.

We are the first point of contact for many visitors and enquiries, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our central office. As part of our HR team, you will provide administrative support across a range of activities, including interview scheduling, meeting coordination, visitor management, and office operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing administrative support to the North Staffs & Stoke HR team, including coordinating meetings and preparing documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate digital filing systems and administrative records.
  • Welcoming visitors and providing a professional reception and hospitality service as required.
  • Supporting visitor management systems and helping maintain a safe, professional office environment.
  • Assisting with office supplies, stationery management, and general office administration.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Will relish working in a busy administrative or office environment.
  • Possesses excellent organisational skills and can effectively prioritise competing demands.
  • Has strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communicates confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion.
  • Is committed to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Experience within education and/or HR administration would be advantageous, not essential. You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team while contributing to the delivery of excellent HR services across our Trust.
