About the Role

The HR Administrator position within Costain People Services will support the inhouse payroll team and wider People function.

The role requires a professional, efficient, and customer-facing approach, providing a high-quality, consistent service across:

  • Telephone and email advice
  • Transactional support
  • Compliance with corporate, management policies, and processes

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days on-site at our Maidenhead office.


Responsibilities You will be responsible for:

  • Administering HR processes with a sharp focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Supporting the payroll team in delivering accurate payroll operations
  • Acting as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing clear guidance
  • Ensuring alignment with Costain’s HR policies, standards, and operational best practices
  • Collaborating closely with the multi-functional People Services team
  • Maintaining consistency and compliance in all administrative actions
