HR Administrator

Application Deadline: 12 July 2026

Department: Human Resources

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Wigan & Leigh College

Compensation: £26,070 - £26,997 / year

Description

Full Time, Permanent

Great HR starts with the detail. Help us get it right.

Get the details right and nobody notices. Get them wrong and everybody does. Contracts, payroll changes, new starter records, manager queries. You'll keep all of it accurate and moving, day in, day out.

You’ll work at the heart of our HR team, supporting staff across our college and helping us deliver a responsive, professional and well-organised service. You’ll support staff from onboarding to leavers, maintain accurate HR records, prepare documents and help keep payroll, recruitment and training administration running.

You’ll be a detail person, happy handling contracts, variation letters, timesheets, payroll adjustments, staff records, interview arrangements, training activity and routine HR queries.

You’ll also be trusted with sensitive information so accuracy, discretion and professional judgement matter.

You'll take pride in doing things properly, stay calm when the inbox is busy and spot when something does not look right.

What you'll do

  • Support onboarding, contract changes, leavers and other staff processes.
  • Prepare and issue employment documents including contracts, job descriptions and variation letters.
  • Maintain accurate HR records across HR and payroll systems.
  • Validate and process monthly information including timesheets, payroll changes, expenses and adjustments.
  • Respond to staff and manager queries clearly and professionally.
  • Support recruitment administration including interview scheduling, correspondence and candidate records.
  • Support routine employee relations admin.
  • Help improve HR templates, systems and processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
