HR Administrator Law Firm (Dorking, Surrey)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented HR Administrator to join a law firm in Dorking, Surrey.
About the Role
Support the HR function across a variety of administrative, data, and reporting tasks, with a focus on maintaining accurate employee records, payroll administration, and HR analytics. Ideal for professionals seeking to develop a career in HR within a structured, data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Records & Employee Lifecycle
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records across HR systems
- Support the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, job changes, and leaving processes)
- Prepare contracts, letters, and HR documentation in compliance with UK employment law
HR Operations & Queries
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries
- Monitor absence, annual leave, and employee records
- Book training courses and update training records

Payroll & Benefits
- Support payroll and benefits data administration
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain HR systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Producer regular HR reports (headcount, turnover, absence trends)
- Assist with HR metrics analysis to identify trends
- Support management reporting and HR audits
People Management
- Prepare performance management documentation
- Assist in recruitment processes, including:
- Job postings
- Screening applicants
- Scheduling interviews
- Support new starter induction, Right to Work checks, and pre-employment screening
- Set up training for new employees
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in an HR or administrative role, preferably in professional services
- Strong attention to detail, with an analytical mindset
- Ability to collect, interpret, and present data accurately
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Proactive, reliable, and solution-focused approach
