About The Role

Portfolio is proud to represent our client in their search for a Human Resources (HR) Administrator. Working within a market-leading HR consultancy firm, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in human resources. The HR Administrator will work closely alongside experienced HR consultants, supporting various client-facing activities such as preparing and gathering evidence for employment relation meetings and providing HR advice via telephone and written communication. The role involves managing consultant diaries, planning meetings, and delivering excellent administrative support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position is ideal for recent HR or CIPD graduates eager to gain practical experience and progress within the HR field, offering ongoing support, training, and potential career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Alternatively, candidates with relevant experience in employment law or employee relations-focused HR roles will also be considered. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effectively delivering technical and commercial HR advice to clients. Candidates should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a customer-centric approach. Previous experience in a customer service environment and familiarity with administrative tasks is desirable. A positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively within a team are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients via telephone and email to understand their requirements for formal meetings with employees, providing guidance on options and responsibilities with support from Face2Face consultants.
  • Review case files and draft legally compliant, accurate invitation letters for disciplinary hearings, grievances, appeals, investigations, and consultations on behalf of clients.
  • Manage and coordinate consultant diaries, scheduling appointments, and adapting to last-minute changes in a flexible manner.
  • Collaborate with HR consultants to optimize their time management and meet client expectations effectively.
  • Create, maintain, and organize files, system logs, and other administrative documentation to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Contribute to the team’s goal of securing repeat business by providing exceptional service and support to clients and colleagues alike.
