About The Role
As an HR Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting the wider HR Team with the delivery of day-to-day people services across the organisation. Working closely with managers and colleagues, you'll provide professional HR advice and guidance on a range of employee matters, helping to ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently and effectively.
You'll support business-as-usual HR activity including employee relations casework, absence management, performance and conduct matters, recruitment and onboarding, contract changes, and policy guidance. You'll also work collaboratively with HR Business Partners, Resource and Talent, Payroll, and Learning & Development colleagues to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll build strong relationships across the business, support managers to make informed people decisions, and help drive a positive colleague experience while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.

This is a 12 month Fixed term contract
Responsibilities
HR Advisory
Provide employee relations support to people managers on all key employee relations issues such as discipline, grievance, performance management and absence (including occupational health). You will provide quality HR advice and support, complying with employment law, HR policies and best practice whilst being pragmatic in HR solutions which achieve operational objectives.
Work with the HR Services team dealing with any escalated queries on policy and process, sharing knowledge and experience to enable positive outcomes.
Occasionally support the Business Partners in delivering a proactive and informed service and assist with the implementation of change management, including restructures and TUPE, across business areas as required.
People Management Training
Deliver people management training as required to ensure a consistent level of skill in people related matters.
Customer Service
Ensure a high-quality experience is delivered at all times to customers, providing accurate and up to date information in line with company processes, procedures and agreed standards.
Be an ambassador for customer service at Onward, providing customers with prompt, professional and accurate information, delivered in a timely, consistent and efficient manner.
We're Looking For Someone Who
Has solid HR generalist experience in a busy, customer-focused organisation.
Is confident advising managers on a range of employee relations matters.
Brings strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
Can manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with colleagues at every level.
Enjoys working with data and using insights to support decision-making.
Has experience supporting multi-site operations.
Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
