STS Engine Services is hiring an HR Advisor in Stansted, Essex, United Kingdom.
This permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced HR professional who can deliver a proactive, commercially focused service within a fast-paced aviation engineering environment.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will support employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, HR reporting, engagement initiatives, absence management and continuous improvement across the organisation.

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30
- Reports To: HR Manager
- Hiring Note: Candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
Position Overview
The HR Adviser will play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service aligned with the needs of a growing aircraft engine maintenance organisation.
This position will support change management activity, improve consistency across people processes and help ensure managers have the guidance, information and tools needed to lead effectively.
The successful candidate will take ownership of HR reporting, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement and HRIS accuracy while contributing to the continued development of the HR function.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a proactive and solutions-focused HR service aligned with business priorities
- Champion company values and support the recognition of values champions
- Provide first-line guidance to managers on employee relations matters
- Support formal employee meetings and produce accurate notes and documentation
- Monitor and report on the completion of one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, probation reviews and return-to-work interviews
- Produce regular and ad hoc people reports covering headcount, turnover, absence, overtime and payroll data
- Prepare salary review letters and contract change documentation
- Draft updates to HR policies, employment contracts and supporting documentation
- Manage sickness absence processes and maintain accurate HR system records
- Support managers with absence case management and escalate complex matters when required
- Create and maintain process maps for HR activities
- Maintain and optimise the UKG Kronos HR information system
- Ensure HRIS data remains accurate, compliant and effectively utilised
- Support the development and implementation of inclusive working practices
- Contribute to employee health and wellbeing initiatives
- Manage recruitment activity from advertising and screening through to interviews and onboarding
- Deliver HR inductions and coordinate uniform provision for new employees
- Conduct employee surveys and prepare related communications and action plans
- Monitor employee benefit participation and research potential improvements
- Prepare benefit communications for employees
- Support the creation of company newsletters, HR presentations and promotional materials
- Maintain accurate HR records, files and systems in accordance with GDPR requirements
- Support the administration and effective use of the company flat
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills And Experience
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- CIPD Level 5 qualification, current progression towards CIPD Level 5 or a relevant HR-related degree
- Experience working within an HR function at Adviser level or as an experienced HR Administrator
- Demonstrable experience managing HR projects or people-related initiatives
- Confidence providing managers with guidance on straightforward employee relations matters
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy across HR documentation, records and reporting
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage competing priorities
- Resilient and adaptable approach within a fast-paced working environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to produce clear reports, statistics and professional presentations
- Numerate and commercially aware
- Experience working with HR systems
- UKG Kronos experience is highly desirable
- Ability to create engaging HR materials and promotional content
- Strong IT, presentation and design capabilities
- Passion for promoting employee health, wellbeing and a positive workplace culture
