HR Advisor

HR Advisor Roles – Fixed-Term Contracts

Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield (Hybrid: On-site minimum 3 days/week at Head Office, S35 2PW)


About the Roles

We are seeking two experienced and proactive HR Advisors to join our HR team at B. Braun, offering fixed-term contracts (~16 months, 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday).

These generalist HR roles require leadership partnership and active support across employee-related activities, including:

  • Comprehensive HR advice for managers and employees
  • Employee relations (disciplinary, grievance, absence, wellbeing)
  • Organisational change (restructures, redeployment, redundancy, TUPE matching)
  • Employee lifecycle support (onboarding, training, HR transactions, data management)

Two Distinct Roles

Role 1: Nursing & Clinical Services

(Includes TUPE project support and employee consultation activities)

  • Occasional travel across sites required.
  • Essential: A full UK driving licence.

Role 2: Operational Functions (Distribution, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain)

  • Focus on high-volume HR admin in manufacturing settings.
  • Beneficial: Previous experience in operational or manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional HR advice on employee and manager-related queries.
  • Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence management and wellbeing cases.
  • Guide managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Lead organisational change initiatives, including redundancies and TUPE processes.
  • Provide manager training on leadership and people management skills.
  • Maintain accurate employee data, ensure compliance with HR systems, and process transactions efficiently.
  • Collaborate with a diverse stakeholder group, including senior leadership, teams, and colleagues.

What You’ll Need

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Substantial experience as a generalist HR Advisor.
  • Strong expertise in HR policies and employment legislation, including:
    • Experience in disciplinary, grievance, absence management.
    • Ability to assess risk and determine equitable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to:
    • Support large organisations, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
    • Build trust with stakeholders across all levels.
    • Manage high-volume HR administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, data-driven recommendations.
  • A collaborative team player mindset, with enthusiasm for sharing HR knowledge.
  • Desirable qualifications:
    • Advance to or current CIPD membership (or working towards it).
    • Familiarity with HRIS (HR Information Systems).
