Due to a maternity, we are looking for a HR Advisor to join our team on a 9 Month fix-term contract.

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, providing practical advice, and helping managers get the best from their teams? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our People Team.

In this varied and rewarding role, you'll provide first-line HR support to managers and employees across the business, delivering professional and consistent advice on a wide range of people matters. Working closely with HR Business Partners and the wider HR team, you'll play an important role in supporting employee relations, organisational change initiatives, people development, and continuous improvement projects. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you'll make a genuine impact on the employee experience.

What You'll Be Doing

As an HR Advisor, you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees, providing clear, practical, and commercially focused HR advice on policies, procedures, and people-related matters.
  • Manage and respond to HR queries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Lead and support employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management matters, escalating complex or high-risk issues where appropriate.
  • Prepare and issue employee relations documentation, including invitation and outcome letters.
  • Proactively support managers with absence and performance management, helping to drive consistency and accountability across the business.
  • Work alongside HR Business Partners to deliver key people initiatives, including employee engagement activities, organisational change programmes, restructures, and transformation projects.
  • Support TUPE transfer activities, ensuring accurate data management and compliance with consultation requirements.
  • Deliver coaching and guidance to managers, helping to build confidence and capability in managing people effectively.
  • Promote the consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and best practice across the organisation.
  • Support the review and development of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and evolving business needs.
  • Produce and analyse HR metrics and management information, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
  • Provide support to the HR Services team during busy periods and assist with transactional HR activities including new starters, contractual changes, leavers, and employee correspondence.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of people processes and practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
