The Role

We are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our growing team. Acting as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the business while driving a positive and compliant workplace culture.

This is a varied generalist role covering employee relations, recruitment, training, and HR operations, with responsibility for delivering high-quality HR support across the organisation.

Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees Support investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management Manage absence cases, including long-term sickness and return-to-work processes Maintain accurate HR records and documentation Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant working environment

Recruitment & Onboarding

Manage end-to-end recruitment for hourly roles Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions Deliver a professional candidate experience Issue contracts and onboarding documentation Ensure compliance with right-to-work requirements and onboarding processes

Training & Development

Deliver induction and onboarding programmes Support ongoing employee training and development initiatives Track new starter progress at 30, 60, and 90 days Maintain training records and skills matrices

HR Projects & Systems

Support HR systems (UKG) and ensure data accuracy Analyse HR data and trends (e.g., absence, turnover, ER cases) Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes Support ESG and community engagement activities

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a generalist HR role (minimum 2 years) Knowledgeable in UK employment law and HR best practice Confident handling employee relations cases Highly organised with strong attention to detail A confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable Experience in FMCG/manufacturing is advantageous

Additional Information
