We are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join our existing team.

In this post you will be responsible for assisting with and at times independently leading HR projects, advice, policy and operational issues as appropriate.
The role encompasses the full remit of HR issues and is a true generalist position and includes:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, organisational change, and wider employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies, and HR best practice.
- Manage a portfolio of HR casework, taking ownership of employee relations matters from initial consultation through to resolution, ensuring timely, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Monitor absences in conjunction with the Absence Management Policy and trigger point system, taking action as necessary including occupational health referrals, risk assessments & doctors reports.
- Lead and coordinate recruitment activity across the College, ensuring safer recruitment practices are applied and all pre-employment checks are completed in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) requirements and relevant legislation.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies to coordinate candidate transfers, agree start dates, and ensure all pre-employment clearances are received, verified, and compliant with organisational policies and relevant legislation.
- To ensure existing staff undertake a DBS renewal and annual Prohibition checks, in line with College policy and records updated accordingly.
- To fully participate in job evaluation, in line with College process.
- Contribute to the development of and comply with College policies and procedures always ensuring compliance with employment law.
