HR Advisor – Kent College, Canterbury

About the Role

We are seeking a HR Advisor to join our forward-thinking HR Team at Kent College, Canterbury.

The HR Advisor will provide day-to-day generalist HR support across the School, working closely with managers and the Head of HR. Duties include:

  • Offering pragmatic HR advice and compliance guidance
  • Supporting effective people processes and operational efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Deliver administrative and advisory HR services to staff and management
  • Ensure policy compliance and maintain records of HR documentation
  • Support levels of oversight such as employment tribunals, discipline, and grievances
  • Work collaboratively with leadership, teachers, and pupil-facing staff
  • Lead on online HR forums and communications
  • Administer payroll policies, working patterns, and conditions of service
  • Embed progressive policies in alignment with the school’s needs

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience in HR and office administration
  • CIPD Professional Qualification (Level 5 or above)
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
  • Professionalism, discretion, and observational sensitivity

Position Details

  • Hours: 40 per week (full-year contract)
