HR Advisor – Kent College, Canterbury
About the Role
We are seeking a HR Advisor to join our forward-thinking HR Team at Kent College, Canterbury.
The HR Advisor will provide day-to-day generalist HR support across the School, working closely with managers and the Head of HR. Duties include:
- Offering pragmatic HR advice and compliance guidance
- Supporting effective people processes and operational efficiency
Responsibilities
- Deliver administrative and advisory HR services to staff and management
- Ensure policy compliance and maintain records of HR documentation
- Support levels of oversight such as employment tribunals, discipline, and grievances
- Work collaboratively with leadership, teachers, and pupil-facing staff
- Lead on online HR forums and communications
- Administer payroll policies, working patterns, and conditions of service
- Embed progressive policies in alignment with the school’s needs

Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience in HR and office administration
- CIPD Professional Qualification (Level 5 or above)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
- Professionalism, discretion, and observational sensitivity

Position Details
- Hours: 40 per week (full-year contract)
