HR Advisor (Fixed-Term to 31 January 2027)

  • Location: London/Liverpool

About The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive HR professional to join our small and busy HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has strong HR administration and recruitment experience and is looking to further develop their employee relations knowledge in a varied and hands-on role.

Supporting approximately 650 employees, you will play a key role in delivering an efficient and customer-focused HR service. You will manage a broad range of HR administration activities, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, right to work checks, contracts, employee records, payroll changes and compliance processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring HR systems and documentation are accurate and maintained to a high standard.

Alongside your administrative responsibilities, you will provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees, supporting routine employee relations matters such as absence management, probation reviews and policy guidance. You will have the opportunity to develop your experience in more complex employee relations cases, organisational change activity and HR projects, working closely with the Head of HR.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working in an HR environment.
  • Has strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Has experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Has a good understanding of HR compliance requirements and employment documentation.
  • Has experience providing basic employee relations advice, including support with absence management, probation reviews and routine people queries.
  • Is able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
  • Is proficient in using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

This role would suit an HR Coordinator, HR Officer or HR Administrator looking to broaden their HR advisory experience whilst retaining a strong operational and administrative focus.
