HR Advisor
HR Advisor Opportunity – Edinburgh Office (Hybrid Working Available)
About Bield

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover, with an immediate start.
The Role
This position has a strong focus on employee relations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload covering:
- Absence
- Disciplinary
- Grievance
- Performance matters
- Supporting managers through HR processes from start to finish
- Ensuring fair, consistent outcomes in line with policy and employment legislation
In addition, you will contribute to broader HR activities, including:
- Managing shared inbox inquiries
- Overseeing payroll processes
- Assisting with recruitment
- Supporting the entire employee lifecycle
This role suits someone with confidence in handling HR casework, adaptability across wider functions, and a collaborative approach.

The Ideal Candidate
We seek candidates with:
- Demonstrable experience in HR generalist activities
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Prior experience in:
- Providing advice and guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures (Preferable but not mandatory)
Key Attributes:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Strong numerical and IT skills
- Effective interpersonal skills, including adaptability for different communication levels
