Senior HR Advisor – Education (6-month FTC)

Salary: £46,000
Based: London Bridge
Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home

A highly established International College based in the City of London is looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor on a 6-month contract to join the HR Team. You will provide HR guidance and partner with managers across the organisation to deliver effective people solutions, ensure legal compliance, and support organisational change. You will play a vital role in driving best practice across employee relations, policy development, performance management, and employee engagement.

  • Provide expert advice and support to managers on complex employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct, capability, redundancy, and grievance.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of employment law, evolving case law, and people management best practice.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all legal and internal Safeguarding requirements.
  • Create and deliver essential HR process training, webinars, and written guidance to managers.
  • Drive the timely completion of key performance and development processes, offering guidance and feedback to managers on quality.
  • Support business-wide employee engagement activities and initiatives, including the annual Employee Engagement Survey.
  • Actively contribute ideas and suggestions to aid the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the HR function.
  • Support managers on the planning, communication, and execution of organisational redesigns and change management programs to minimize disruption and maximize employee adoption.

  • Experienced HR Advisor that has worked in medium to large sized companies, 500+ staff.
  • Significant experience of providing HR support on complex casework is essential.
  • Experienced in working in Education, however, open to other industries.
  • Sound judgement underpinned by detailed knowledge and practical experience of employment law and best practice is essential.
  • Strong listening and communication (verbal/written) skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain strong relationships, and work effectively at all levels of the organisation.
