Job Title: HR Advisor
We are delighted to be recruiting a HR Advisor on a Fixed Term Contract basis for a growing, people-focused organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative People team where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support across the business and helping to embed a positive colleague experience.
Working closely with the HR Advisor, this role provides day-to-day HR support to managers and colleagues, ensuring practical, timely and consistent advice across a range of operational HR matters. You will contribute to the smooth running of the People function while supporting a values-led and engaging workplace culture.
The Opportunity
This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy People team, offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing low to mid-complexity employee relations cases including sickness, conduct, probation and performance
- Supporting investigations and hearings through documentation, note-taking and guidance
- Escalating complex or high-risk cases to the People & Culture Lead as required
- Providing clear and consistent application of HR policies and procedures
- Coordinating recruitment activity including advertising, shortlisting and interview scheduling
- Supporting managers through selection processes and ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Preparing contracts, offers and onboarding documentation via HR systems
- Maintaining accurate employee data and records within BambooHR
- Producing HR reports including absence, turnover and other key metrics
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle including changes, leavers and probation reviews
- Providing day-to-day advice to managers and colleagues on HR policies and best practice
- Supporting engagement, wellbeing and values-led initiatives across the business
- Coordinating learning and development activity, including training logistics and records
- Working collaboratively within the People team to ensure consistent service delivery

About You

We are keen to speak with HR professionals who are proactive, organised and passionate about delivering a great colleague experience. You will be confident handling routine HR matters and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within an operational or multi-site environment
- Confidence managing routine employee relations cases independently
- Strong understanding of HR practices and basic UK employment law
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using HR systems (BambooHR desirable)
- CIPD Level 3 (minimum) or working towards Level 5
- A positive, values-led approach with a strong focus on colleague experience
