About the Role
This role sits in the business facing side of HR, with a view to primarily supporting the Operations side of the business, alongside the wider HR Team. Your specialist area and focus will be all things Employee Relations, providing comprehensive advice and service across the varied departments of Addison Lee. You will also provide frequent coaching and guidance to the business’ managers on our policies and processes. You will also support on the wide range of projects that HR implement on an annual basis. You will also be the first port of call for a lot of our employees and will be comfortable operating in this space.

Salary
£40,000 – £50,000 DOE
Location
This role is based at our head office in Paddington with travel to our West Drayton and Liverpool sites once a month (with hybrid working).
Reporting Lines
This role reports to the Senior HR Business Partner.
Main Accountabilities
- Manage a high volume of Employee Relations cases end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, and workplace investigations
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on ER issues, ensuring consistency and alignment with company policy and employment law
- Lead and support complex and sensitive cases, including investigations and hearings
- Coaching and providing support to line managers in building confidence and capability in handling people matters
- Develop and deliver training workshops to line managers to develop and empower them in their people management capabilities
- Embed our values in everything we do and encourage managers to do the same
- Data driven and analytic approach to managing ER along with ongoing reporting of key metrics
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records, producing reports and insights where required
- Identify trends in ER activity and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and improve practices
- Collaborate with wider HR teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality HR service
- Understand and keep up to date with new employment legislation and to proactively seek out HR initiatives that can be implemented at Addison Lee.

Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in a HR Advisor or similar role within a fast-paced environment
- Strong Employee Relations expertise, with demonstrable experience managing complex cases independently
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or developing junior HR colleagues
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or relevant experience
- Experience of delivering people management training workshops
