Purpose

To provide proactive HR support across the site, ensuring effective delivery of employee relations, people processes, compliance, and engagement activities in line with Pilgrim's Europe policies, values, and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR advice and support to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence cases.
  • Support delivery of the Group People Strategy and key people metrics such as retention, turnover, and absence.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and employment law requirements are applied consistently.
  • Maintain accurate HR systems, records, and reporting.
  • Coordinate Occupational Health referrals and support wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Assist with training compliance, employee engagement activities, and communication forums.
  • Support ethical audits, customer requirements, and health & safety initiatives.

  • Experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Good knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases.
  • Proficient in HR systems and administration.

Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified or working towards qualification (desirable).
  • Manufacturing or food industry experience (desirable).
