HR AI Enablement & Innovation Program Manager
Job Description Summary
At GE Vernova, we accelerate the energy transition by helping the world electrify and decarbonize. As the HR function evolves, we’re embedding AI into how we serve people—transforming how our people leaders, employees, business partners, and HR teams operate. Our HR function is shifting from experimentation to disciplined AI adoption.
We’re hiring an HR AI Enablement & Innovation Program Manager to drive AI fluency across HR, scale practical AI solutions, and foster self-learning across the function. This role sits within HR Enablement & Simplification, partnering HR teams with AI capabilities that enhance their work.
This is for a builder—someone who can shape the future of AI in HR, lead a function-wide community, and develop working AI prototypes within HR while collaborating closely with AI governance, workforce transformation, and Workday AI enablement leaders.
Role Summary
The HR AI Enablement & Innovation Program Manager leads three core workstreams:
- AI Fluency & Skill-Building – Ensures HR teams have the foundational and advanced AI knowledge to apply generative AI, responsible AI practices, and prompt engineering.
- HR AI Community of Practice (CoP) – Establishes and sustains a collaborative network for HR professionals to share learnings, boost adoption, and scale innovations.
- HR AI Innovation & Use Case Incubation – Identifies, prototypes, and implements HR-focused AI solutions that solve real problems (e.g., knowledge retrieval, analytics, decision support).
This role partners with:
- AI Governance Project Manager (AI ethical guardrails)
- AI Workforce Transformation Project Manager (Organizational Design & Lean adoption)
- Workday AI Enablement Lead (Workday-native AI technologies)
Together, these four roles form GE Vernova’s HR AI adoption operating model.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR AI Fluency & Skill-Building
✔ Own the HR function’s AI learning roadmap, evolving from foundational concepts to advanced generative AI application across HR Client Support, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and leadership. ✔ Define AI-specific HR capabilities for prompt engineering, agent orientation, responsible use, data interpretation, and human-in-the-loop judgment. ✔ Collaborate with HR4HR and Learning & Development teams to integrate AI training into existing development programs—avoiding redundant new initiatives. ✔ Curate high-quality external AI content, adapting it for GE Vernova’s HR use cases with a focus on hands-on, continuous learning. ✔ Increase responsible use of Copilot, Workday Amp (AMP), and other HR AI tools across the function.
2. HR AI Community of Practice
✔ Build and lead the HR AI CoP, including:
- Set working rhythm, content strategy, and participant engagement model.
- Host monthly working sessions and quarterly prototyping showcases to drive collective progress.
- Establish a peer champion network across HR COEs and Client Support teams to ensure consistent governance and rapid adoption.
- Maintain a shared library of best practices, prototypes, use cases, prompts, and lessons learned to enable rapid replication. ✔ Measure community health via:
- Participation metrics, contribution volume, use case adoption, and skill progression.
- ** Betriebklima** assessment (organisational health indicators).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

3. HR AI Innovation & Use Case Incubation
✔ Work with HR COEs and Client Support to identify real-world HR problems (e.g., service delays, knowledge gaps, analytics bottlenecks) and approx use-case solutions. ✔ Implement a lightweight intake model to route use cases to the right delivery path:
- Workday AI (via Workday AI Enablement Lead)
- Enterprise tools (via this role)
- Custom development (via Digital Transformation – DT teams)
- Not ready (via AI Governance Team) ✔ Run a working HR AI prototype portfolio:
- Pilot and test Citizen Developer initiatives (low-code/low-tech solutions).
- Gradient use cases into sustained capabilities.
- Emphasize effective experimentation over perfection. ✔ Distinguish HR-specific innovations (this role’s scope) vs. enterprise-wide AI transformation (partnership with AI Workforce Transformation Project Manager).
