Part time, Permanent contract. 16hrs (2 x days) per week. Either Wed/Thurs, or Thurs/Fri
Role will be based onsite at our Willows Farm Day Nursery (AL4 0PF)
We are a privately owned group of farm-based day nurseries, providing children with unique opportunities to learn through nature, animals and outdoor experiences every day. Our settings are built around creating exceptional experiences for children, families and, just as importantly, our team.
Our culture is built on kindness, support, collaboration and respect. We believe that when our people feel valued, listened to and supported, they are empowered to do their very best work.
We’re passionate about developing our teams, recognising success, promoting wellbeing and creating opportunities for people to grow. We don’t see HR as simply policies and paperwork—we see it as creating a workplace where people genuinely love coming to work.
We’re now looking for a Culture & HR Support professional to join our People & Wellbeing Team. Working directly alongside our Director of People & Wellbeing, this is an exciting opportunity for someone studying HR or looking to build a career in People Management to gain invaluable hands-on experience across every aspect of HR.
This is far more than an administration role—you’ll play an important part in supporting our people, strengthening our culture and helping our nurseries continue to thrive.
About The Role

- Assisting managers with HR administration and people-related queries.
- Helping ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Carrying out HR compliance audits across our nursery settings.
- Supporting absence management administration and reporting.
- Producing HR reports and analysing people data.
- Assisting with employee engagement, recognition and culture initiatives.
- Supporting a variety of exciting HR projects across the business.
- Providing excellent confidential administrative support across all areas of HR.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
