HR and Payroll Officer
The HR and Payroll Officer will manage payroll processing and support HR operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures in the not-for-profit sector. This fixed-term contract role requires a detail-oriented individual to handle sensitive employee information with accuracy and confidentiality.

The employer is a multi-academy trust operating within the not-for-profit industry, committed to delivering meaningful services that positively impact the community. Their Human Resources department plays a key role in maintaining efficient operations and supporting the academy goals.
Description
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to legal and organisational requirements.
- Maintain and update employee records, including contracts, benefits, and leave balances.
- Support recruitment activities, from drafting job descriptions to onboarding new hires.
- Coordinate employee training and development programmes in line with organisational needs.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to staff and management.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including handling queries and supporting investigations.
- Prepare reports and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure payroll budgets align with forecasts.

Profile
A successful HR and Payroll Officer should have:
- Experience in payroll processing and HR administration within a professional setting.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using HR and payroll software.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with employees and management.
