HR Assistant

Dover Precision Components is a global manufacturer of innovative, performance‑critical equipment components and services for rotating and reciprocating machinery used across the oil and gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical, and general processing markets. With strategically located facilities around the world, Dover Precision Components partners with OEMs and end users to deliver solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, productivity, and total cost of ownership in both long-established industries and emerging applications. Summary:   Due to an increase in growth in our Waukesha Bearings business in Glasgow and to support the business through a period of organisational change, we have a temporary opportunity available for an HR Assistant to join our team in Glasgow.  This is a fixed term contract until December 2026.  Responsibilities: The HR Assistant is responsible for all HR administrative activities, including but not limited to the following; Recruitment and Onboarding

Liaise with the Dover Talent Acquisition Team to support the fulfilment of open positions. Raise Requisitions on the HR Information System and seek the necessary hiring approvals. Coordinate and support interviews, including the preparation of interview guides. Prepare and administer job offers and contracts of employment. Obtain and process new hire paperwork, including right to work, qualification checks and references. Complete the new hire set up process in the relevant HR Information and Payroll systems. Create induction schedules and support with new hire welcome and orientation.

Ensure accurate time and attendance records are maintained. Obtain and prepare attendance data for daily / monthly analysis of KPI targets. Update management information systems with relevant data. First point of contact for employee and line manager queries regarding time and attendance and holiday balances. Supporting employees with system access issues.      

Employee Relations

Prepare and administer letters and associated paperwork relating to employee relations processes such as; attendance review meetings, disciplinary, grievance, capability etc. Support line managers with the scheduling of meetings. Record and document minutes of meetings.

Reward and Recognition  

Support employees with access to the Dover Celebrates reward and recognition platform. Coordinate and organise employee reward & recognition or engagement events. Support with the administration of the Company benefits programmes as required. 

 General HR Administrative duties 

Provide advice and guidance to employees and line managers on Company policies and procedures. Ensure proper maintenance of employee files and records in line with Dover records management process and GDPR requirements. Support the completion and preparation of data for audits, surveys, monthly management reports and meetings. Support data auditing and cleansing within the HR information and payroll systems. Any other ad-hoc duties as they arise and are deemed reasonable. 

Minimum required qualifications: 

A relevant HR or CIPD qualification is preferred. Significant experience in providing generalist administration, preferably within a HR function or in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams)
