Job Title: HRAdministrative Assistant or HRCoordinator Location: Ross-on-Wye Hours: 37.5 per week
About the Role
Working closely alongside the Head of HR Operations and our wider HR team, this critical role will act as a pivotal administrative pillar, ensuring our HR service is efficient, compliant, and responsive to our workforce. A dynamic position blending HR support, process management, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Internal HR Query Handling
- Act as the primary point of contact for general HR queries from employees and managers across the company group.
- Provide timely, supportive, and accurate guidance to all stakeholders.
Recruitment & Onboarding Coordination
- Process new starters, internal transfers, and leavers, including:
- Leading pre-employment screening (DBS checks, vetting).
- Smooth, compliant inductions with company guidance.
- Draft employment contracts, offer letters, and contractual amendments.
Employee Records Management
- Maintain accurate, real-time employee records in strict alignment with GDPR and company policy.
- Oversee archiving systems effectively.

Payroll & Compliance Support
- Coordinate between Payroll and HR to ensure:
- Timely submission of accurate employee information, amendments, and variations.
- Compliance with monthly payroll deadlines.
Employee Training & Development
- Support training programmes, including:
- Tracking mandatory learning requirements.
- Issuing training certificates for compliance.
- Assisting line managers with monitoring.
Project & Initiative Assistance
- Provide ad-hoc support for HR projects or initiatives enhancing the employee experience and operational efficiency.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous HR or people-focused administrative experience.
- HRIS or employee database knowledge (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, BambooHR).
- Familiarity with employment legislation and HR best practice.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification, or a commitment to pursuing one.
