HR Assistant (Generalist)

Location: Mayfair, London

Experience: 3–5 years HR/generalist experience

Environment: Dynamic Hedgefund

Reporting to: Chief of Staff

About the Role

This is a broad HR Generalist role offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on onboarding, employee relations, HR systems, and HR operations. You will play a key role in shaping and supporting a high-quality, people-focused function in a discreet and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day HR operations and support the full employee lifecycle
  • Lead onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and high-touch new starter experience
  • Act as first point of contact for HR queries and employee support
  • Assist with employee relations cases, documentation, and follow-ups
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support HR systems (e.g. Workday)
  • Coordinate recruitment activity including interviews and candidate liaison
  • Support HR reporting, data accuracy, and basic analytics
  • Assist with HR projects, policy updates, and process improvements
  • Support performance reviews, training initiatives, and wider HR administration

About You

  • 3–5 years’ experience in an HR Assistant or HR Generalist role
  • Strong understanding of onboarding, employee relations, and HR processes
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Discreet and professional with the ability to handle sensitive information
  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
