HR Assistant (Generalist)
Location: Mayfair, London
Experience: 3–5 years HR/generalist experience
Environment: Dynamic Hedgefund
Reporting to: Chief of Staff
About the Role
This is a broad HR Generalist role offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on onboarding, employee relations, HR systems, and HR operations. You will play a key role in shaping and supporting a high-quality, people-focused function in a discreet and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver day-to-day HR operations and support the full employee lifecycle
- Lead onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and high-touch new starter experience
- Act as first point of contact for HR queries and employee support
- Assist with employee relations cases, documentation, and follow-ups
- Maintain accurate HR records and support HR systems (e.g. Workday)
- Coordinate recruitment activity including interviews and candidate liaison
- Support HR reporting, data accuracy, and basic analytics
- Assist with HR projects, policy updates, and process improvements
- Support performance reviews, training initiatives, and wider HR administration

About You
- 3–5 years’ experience in an HR Assistant or HR Generalist role
- Strong understanding of onboarding, employee relations, and HR processes
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Discreet and professional with the ability to handle sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset

Skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
- Experience with HR systems (e.g. Workday or similar)
- Exposure to recruitment and HR administration processes
- Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle
