Human Resources Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in supporting our HR function and ensuring smooth operations within our dealerships. If you are passionate about human resources and eager to contribute to a leading automotive group, we want to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the HR team.
  • Assist in managing HRIS systems and maintaining employee data with accuracy.
  • Support the recruitment processes including data entry, completing employment checks, verifying right to work checks and credit checks.
  • Coordinate communication between departments to facilitate HR initiatives.
  • Answer any queries which come into the HR mailbox.
  • Issuing offers and contracts.
  • Support with the administration of employee benefits including cars, health cash plan, pension and private medical insurance.
  • Complete all 6 monthly driving licence checks on all company employees and ensure any convictions are reported to the insurers.
  • Deliver team inductions across the business, keeping all inductions up to date with any changes.
  • Complete exit interviews with any leavers from the business and provide feedback to relevant people.
  • Identify any training needs for first aid, mental health first aid and fire wardens and arrange required training.
  • Provide administrative support, including minute taking at any HR meetings when required.
  • Regularly contribute to the team, recommending improvements to systems and procedures to improve efficiency in the department.
  • Ensure data is accurate for payroll processing and prepare for payroll each month.

What you will need to be an HR Assistant at Van Mossel

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably within an HR environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

This role is office based, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
