Here at GXO, we're recruiting for an HR Assistant to join our team at our Rockingham site in Corby. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract, working 5 out of 7 days, 08:00 – 16:00, where you'll play a key role in supporting the People Team and delivering an efficient, professional service across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in HR, gaining exposure to employee relations, recruitment, engagement, reporting and people processes within a busy operational environment.

We’re offering a salary of £30,087 per annum, plus 33 days of holiday (including bank holidays), a company pension scheme, and access to an employee discount platform covering retail, tech, travel, and more. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the People Team, ensuring HR processes and colleague records are maintained accurately and efficiently
- Support onboarding, inductions and employee lifecycle activities, helping to deliver a positive experience for new and existing colleagues
- Assist managers with people-related processes, including absence management, investigations, disciplinary administration and general HR guidance
- Produce and maintain HR reports, people data and site records, ensuring information remains accurate, confidential and GDPR compliant
- Support colleague engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives, helping to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous administrative experience within a HR, people-focused or customer service environment, or transferable skills with a strong interest in Human Resources
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to work confidently with systems and data
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn, take ownership and develop within a HR career path
