Role: HR Business Partner
Pay: £50,000 per annum (DOE) plus car allowance and mileage
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Location: Field-based, with regular travel across the portfolio
About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional to join Care South and deliver a proactive, operational support-focused HR service across our portfolio. Working in partnership with operational managers and the wider HR Team, you will play a key role in supporting our people, developing management capability and helping to achieve our organisational objectives.
You will be joining a leading not-for-profit charity providing high-quality Residential Care, Care at Home and Assisted Living services. Reporting to the Director of HR and Training, you will work closely with the Executive Team, Regional Operations Managers, Registered Care Home Managers, Care at Home Managers and colleagues across the HR Team to deliver a proactive, operational support-focused HR service and support the achievement of organisational and departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and guide managers, providing subject matter expertise on all people matters, organisational change and the interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Proactively drive initiatives to improve performance, capability and talent across the organisation.
- Manage a varied employee relations and performance management caseload.
- Support the Director of HR and Training in driving reward and recognition programmes.
- Design and deliver HR training and development to management teams.
- Review, develop and update HR policies and procedures.
- Analyse and interpret people data to provide meaningful insights and support informed decision-making.
- Build and maintain relationships with external organisations and represent Care South at relevant promotional and networking events where required.
- Support the Director of HR and Training with organisational people initiatives and undertake any other duties reasonably required.

About You
- MCIPD / FCIPD qualified.
- A HR generalist with experience gained within the care sector or another multi-site, 24/7 operational environment.
- Thorough knowledge of employment law and the ability to apply it in a practical, solution-focused way.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the ability to balance organisational needs with practical HR solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of HR practices, policies and procedures across the employee lifecycle.
- Experience of supporting organisational change and driving positive people outcomes within a multi-site operational environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- A role model who demonstrates and promotes Care South's HEART values in all aspects of their work.
- Able to work effectively as part of the wider HR Team and build collaborative relationships across the organisation.
- Demonstrates professionalism, discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters.
- Able to effectively prioritise a varied workload and meet competing deadlines.
- Committed to continuous learning, professional development and sharing best practice.
- A proactive, resilient and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently, using sound judgement with excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in the use of HR systems together with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Able to travel across the Care South portfolio.

What You Need To Know
- You must be aged 18 or over.
- This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
- We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to the travel requirements of the role.
- Own car, and regular travel across the Care South portfolio is required.
