The Role
As our HR Business Partner, you'll play a key role in leading the people agenda for our Haverhill food manufacturing site during a 12-month fixed term contract. Partnering closely with the Site Leadership Team, you'll provide expert HR support that enables operational success, develops leadership capability, and creates an engaged, high-performing workforce.
This is a broad, hands-on role where you'll influence strategic decisions while remaining close to the day-to-day operation. Whether you're leading complex employee relations, supporting organisational change, driving engagement initiatives or developing future talent, you'll help ensure our people strategy delivers real business results. This role would suit an experienced HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or HR Manager looking for a varied and rewarding position within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is an onsite role, 5 days per week, based in our Haverhill pork production site.
Your Key Responsibilities
As our HR Business Partner, you'll be responsible for delivering a proactive, commercially focused HR service across the site by:
- Partnering with site leaders to align people plans with business objectives.
- Leading on complex employee relations matters, providing expert advice and coaching managers to build capability.
- Supporting organisational change, workforce planning and business transformation initiatives.
- Driving employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives to enhance the employee experience.
- Developing leadership capability through coaching, succession planning and talent development.
- Championing key HR processes including performance management, reward, calibration and the annual people cycle.
- Using people data and insights to identify opportunities and improve business performance.
- Leading and contributing to HR continuous improvement projects across the wider business.

The Ideal Candidate
You'll be an experienced HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, influencing decision making and delivering practical people solutions in a fast-moving operational environment.
You Will Have
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner within manufacturing, engineering or another operational environment (food manufacturing is desirable).
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and extensive Employee Relations experience.
- Experience supporting organisational change, workforce planning and restructuring activity.
- Excellent coaching and influencing skills with the confidence to provide constructive challenge.
- A data-led approach with the ability to turn insight into meaningful actions.
- Experience improving employee engagement, culture and organisational capability.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent HR experience.
