People & Culture Business Partner (Maternity Cover) – UK

In this maternity cover position, you will drive key HR strategies including:

  • Talent management

  • Organisational effectiveness

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering closely with senior leaders to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Localised flexible workspace model connecting office, home, and branch locations.

Responsibilities

Your role will involve:

Strategic & Operational People Management

  • Drive people culture, employee experience, engagement, and talent management initiatives across the organisation.
  • Align HR strategies with business priorities while partnering with senior managers and leadership teams.
  • Provide expert guidance on employment policies and employee relations to support people leaders.
  • Deliver employee engagement and retention strategies.

Leadership & Engagement

  • Take autonomy by making independent decisions to drive organisational effectiveness.
  • Earn leadership trust and collaborate across global and local teams.
  • Lead HR projects and initiatives at multiple levels to enhance the employee experience.

  • Foster employee well-being and ensure a positive, user-centric workspace culture.

Requirements

Experience & Expertise

  • At least 5 years of HR experience, including 2+ years as a Business Partner or equivalent role.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR-related fields, or equivalent.
  • CIPD Level 5 or higher qualifications highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in employee relations and HR strategy.

Personal Qualities & Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills capable of presenting confidently across all organisational levels.
  • A positive "can-do" attitude with adaptability to meet emerging demands.
  • Experience managing hybrid working arrangements.

Technical Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to proficiently utilise AI tools (SIXTgpt, Claude by Anthropic) for workplace efficiency and innovation.
