Job Title: HR Business Partner
Hybrid: 3 days in Office
Contract: 6 Month FTC
Salary: £80,000 FTE
Hawkwood is excited to be partnering with a high growth, PE backed premium leisure and entertainment business as they are entering an exciting new chapter. Following a recent leadership reset, the business is implementing a new operating model to support its next phase of growth, making this an exciting time to join.
Reporting to the HR Director, you'll be one of the key hires helping bring that vision to life. Working closely with senior operational leaders across a portfolio of premium London venues, you'll help embed a new partnering model, influence change and build the foundations of a more commercially focused People function. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact, not simply maintain what's already there.
You'll be an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys building relationships, coaching leaders and influencing decisions. You're commercially minded, pragmatic and comfortable operating in evolving businesses where there's plenty to build. Above all, you'll enjoy being close to the operation, building credibility quickly and making a visible difference.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
