HR Business Partner - 9 month FTC

Oakleaf Partnership is partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed financial services business to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of its growth. Following a period of significant expansion, the organisation is investing in its People function and is looking for a commercially focused HR Business Partner to support senior leaders across a client-facing division.

Reporting into the Chief People Officer, you'll act as a trusted adviser across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with stakeholders to deliver pragmatic HR solutions that support business performance. This is a broad generalist role, combining strategic business partnering with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to provide commercially focused HR support aligned to business objectives.
  • Build trusted relationships, coaching and influencing managers on a broad range of people matters.
  • Lead on complex employee relations cases, providing pragmatic, solutions-focused advice.
  • Drive performance management and support the development of high-performing teams.
  • Support organisational design, talent and succession planning initiatives.
  • Review, develop and implement HR policies and people processes.
  • Coach managers to build leadership capability and confidence.
  • Contribute to wider people projects, organisational change initiatives and continuous improvement across the HR function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
