Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys providing practical advice, managing employee relations cases, and supporting managers to make confident people decisions? We're looking for an HR Business Partner to join our team, where you'll provide expert HR guidance across a busy operational environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused role, balancing proactive HR support with hands-on employee relations case management. You'll work closely with operational leaders to ensure fair, consistent and commercially focused people practices while helping to create a positive employee experience.

✅ What You’ll Be Doing

As the HR Business Partner, you'll provide operational HR support across the business, including:

  • Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, policies and employment legislation.
  • Managing a varied caseload including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance, capability and flexible working cases.
  • Coaching managers to build confidence and capability in managing people matters effectively and consistently.
  • Supporting investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment law.
  • Identifying trends in employee relations activity and recommending practical solutions to reduce risk and improve manager capability.
  • Supporting organisational change activity, including restructures and consultations.
  • Delivering HR training and briefings to managers on people policies and employment law updates.
  • Working collaboratively with Occupational Health, Payroll, Recruitment and the wider HR team to resolve employee matters efficiently.
  • Supporting wellbeing initiatives and promoting a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the night operation.
  • Building strong working relationships with operational managers to provide timely, pragmatic and commercially focused HR support.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and producing reports to support HR metrics and business decision-making.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes, policies and ways of working.

⭐ What You’ll Bring

You'll bring a combination of strong HR knowledge, sound judgement and excellent relationship-building skills, including:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (essential). CIPD Level 7 (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
  • Proven HR advisory experience, ideally within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases from start to finish.
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and coaching skills.
  • Ability to build credible relationships with managers at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and the confidence to provide balanced, pragmatic advice.
  • A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and TUPE (desirable).
