HR Business Partner
Impactful HR Business Partner Needed
We are seeking a solutions-focused, high-calibre HR Business Partner to join the Athena People Team. You will drive operational excellence across our homes, providing expert guidance for Home Managers to confidently lead teams, manage risk, and deliver Exceptional Care & Experience—defining what Athena stands for.

About The Role
As a trusted HR Business Partner, you will offer expert support across:
- Employee relations
- Organisational development
- Performance & change management
- People strategy initiatives
You’ll balance operational needs with strategic projects, enhancing employee experience, engagement, and organisational effectiveness in this purpose-driven sector.
Key Responsibilities
HR Advisory & Support
- Provide strategic HR guidance on cases including disciplinary action, grievances, absence, and performance.
- Partner with care home leadership to design people solutions aligning with both operational goals and organisational needs.

- Lead and support initiatives linked to the People Strategy, such as engagement, talent development, and employer branding.
Ensuring Consistency
- Maintain uniform application of HR policies, procedures, and UK employment law across all homes.
Learning & Culture
- Foster a positive work environment via coaching, change management, and employee engagement.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential Criteria
- Hold (or be pursuing) CIPD Level 7.
- Strong HR generalist or specialist background, capable of managing complex end-to-end employee relations.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
- Prior experience in the Care Sector or a multi-site operational environment is highly advantageous.

Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a vehicle (essential for regional travel across East Anglia).

Location & Hours
- Central Support Office: Southfields Business Park, Hornsby Way, Laindon, SS15 6TF.
- **Office-based role (Mon-Fri, 9am–5pm) with travel requirements as and when needed.
