Role Purpose
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) – Commercial will act as a strategic partner to business leaders across revenue-generating and performance-driven departments (e.g., Operations, Trading, Marketing).
This role focuses on driving business performance through people, aligning HR initiatives with commercial objectives, enhancing productivity, and enabling leadership capability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align HR strategy with departmental commercial goals
- Provide insight and challenge to improve organisational performance and efficiency
- Support business growth initiatives through workforce planning and talent strategy
Performance & Talent Management
- Drive performance management frameworks focused on measurable business outcomes
- Support leaders in setting KPIs, managing underperformance, and developing high performers
- Identify critical roles and build succession and talent pipelines

Commercial Workforce Planning
- Analyse headcount, productivity, and revenue-per-employee metrics
- Develop workforce plans aligned with growth targets and budget constraints
- Advise on organisational design to optimise team performance
Leadership & Capability Development
- Coach managers on performance leadership, accountability, and team effectiveness
- Design and implement development initiatives for high-impact roles
- Strengthen leadership capability in driving business results
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Use HR analytics to provide insights on performance, attrition, and engagement
- Translate data into actionable recommendations for business leaders
- Monitor impact of HR initiatives on commercial outcomes
Change & Transformation
- Support organisational change initiatives linked to business transformation
- Ensure effective communication and adoption of new structures or strategies
- Drive a high-performance, results-oriented culture

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a commercial or revenue-driven environment
- At least 4+ years relevant HR experience
- Strong understanding of performance management and organisational effectiveness
- Experience supporting Operations, Trading, Marketing, or similar business functions
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
- Strong analytical skills with experience using HR data to inform decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Desirable
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or trading environments
- Knowledge of workforce analytics tools and HR systems
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent
- Experience in high-growth or international organisations
