We are looking for an exceptional HR Business Partner, to collaborate with and guide our Senior Leaders on all things people strategy. At Harrods the HRBP truly has a seat at the table and is a respected part of the leadership team within the business area they support. If you are working at this level and enjoy providing leadership and holding healthy debates as well as having real influence on the strategic direction of the business, this role is for you.

About the Role

This role will be supporting Leaders in Security, Fire Health & Safety, Store Development, Facilities (including Engineering, Maintenance, Store Services, Facilities help desk). The Human Resources Business Partner role is key to supporting business stakeholders to develop People Plans directly linked to the achievement of their divisional strategy/operating plans.

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner this role contributes to the successful embedding of HR strategy initiatives within their areas of responsibility ensuring local business requirements are accounted for in the design and delivery of such initiatives. In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring that key cyclical people related activity such as Talent, Succession Planning and Reward Management are executed exceptionally.

As a truly strategic Business Partner, you will partner with Senior leaders to turn their strategic plans into tangible people roadmaps which you will fully own and deliver. As someone who thrives on working at pace, your drive, tenacity and passion for commercial outcomes, will shine through in your professional delivery and ability to build relationships quickly and effectively.

About You

You are ambitious and driven with the ability to influence and guide senior leaders. In style you are professional and confident, with high levels of presence and gravitas which paired with your extensive knowledge and expertise gives great confidence to your business stakeholders.

You will have experience of working with Security, Fire Health & Safety, Store Development, Facilities (including Engineering, Maintenance, Store Services, Facilities help desk) teams and divisions in a complex environment. You will have the ability to lead, coach and mentor your stakeholders with the HR Strategy at the forefront of your mind.

You will also have:

  • Genuine passion for delivering high standards of service and enabling others to do their best work.
  • Extensive track record in building credible and trusting relationships with stakeholders at the most senior level, as well as the ability to communicate, influence and network at this level
  • Strategic and commercial understanding and experience to deliver the best commercial outcomes
  • Interest in and the skills to read and interpret data and insights to shape and influence business change
  • Confidence to manage expectations and constructively challenge where required
  • Significant experience in all aspects of HR and employee lifecycle activity
  • The ability to identify risk (for example employment law, project timelines)
  • Flexibility in approach and able to manage and cope with ambiguity
  • Sound levels of judgement and the ability to make solid business decisions on which to base advice
  • Working with unions, and familiar with process around this.
