HR Business Partner (Operations)
Buntingford | Office based, 5 days per week | Full time
No work visa sponsorship is available for this role. Only applicants with the existing right to work in the UK will be considered.
Our client is a fast-growing, global business based in Buntingford, and they need an HR Business Partner who really knows their way around employee relations. This isn't a role for someone who wants to dip a toe into ER now and then. You'll be in it every day, handling disciplinaries, grievances, capability and performance cases, and giving managers advice they can actually trust and act on.
This is a proper generalist HRBP role with international reach. The business operates across multiple countries, so you'll be supporting compliance with employment law in different jurisdictions as well as the UK side. You won't be sat behind a desk pushing paperwork either, you'll be building relationships with stakeholders, coaching managers, and getting stuck into HR projects around organisational change, systems and process improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
